Selection Process

  1. Tier-I CBT (Objective; qualifying for short-listing)

  2. Tier-II CBT & Module-II Typing / DEST (merit decisive)

3. Document Verification & Medical Examination


Tier II – Paper I (compulsory for all)

  • Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Fundamentals

  • 150 Qs, 450 marks, 2 h 30 min


Eligibility Criteria (cut-off: 01 Aug 2025)

  • Nationality: Indian citizen/eligible categories under Rule 7.

  • Educational Qualification: 10 + 2 pass from a recognised board.

  • Age Limit: 18 – 27 years (OBC +3 yrs, SC/ST +5 yrs, PwBD +10-15 yrs).

  • Typing / DEST:

    • LDC / JSA: 35 wpm (English) / 30 wpm (Hindi) in 10 minutes.

    • DEO: 8,000 key-depressions/hour (15,000 for C&AG).

Q1. Can 2025-appearing 12th students apply?

 No. The qualifying exam must be passed by 18 July 2025.

Q2. Is Aadhaar compulsory for OTR?

 Highly recommended; alternative IDs (PAN, Passport) accepted.

Q3. Negative marking in Tier-II?

 Yes, 1 mark per wrong answer in Paper I modules.

Q4. What is DEST?

 Data Entry Speed Test—a 15,000 kph typing test for C&AG DEO posts.
